Specialist Practitioner in Drug Misuse in Primary Care

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Specialist Practitioner in Drug Misuse in Primary Care at Lonsdale Medical Centre, an inner-city medical practice in Brent serving 13,000 patients.
An innovative, experienced and competent practitioner is required to provide specialist support and interventions to this primary health care centre, providing care and treatment to approximately 120 complex drug-using patients.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team providing comprehensive patient centred care packages to this client group. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and skills in the assessment, treatment and on-going care of drug users, be familiar with current issues/trends regarding the management of drug users in primary care and demonstrate a commitment to harm reduction and patient centred care.
