Ripple is a community drugs service based in Buttershaw, Bradford, but it is far from a standard drug treatment centre. Ripple is a new site, purpose built, dedicated treatment centre with around 500 clients. We are supported by modern facilities including a computerised record system, and also benefit from close links to the new 'Healthy Living Pharmacy' which is based next door to the project. Our facilities combine treatment and therapy with broader opportunities to learn and build skills in areas such as music, computer graphics and web design. So there are genuine possibilities here to engage people in the local community, build relationships and change attitudes.

You will join an enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team with a holistic approach to treatment, which comprises of a physical health nurse, drug workers and also two other GPwSIs. Contributing to developing and delivering a comprehensive care service in drug misuse, you will provide skilled assessment, treatment and care to patients with drug dependency. Ideally a GP who already has/is working towards the RCGP certificate (parts 1 & 2) in the management of drug misuse, and GPwSI accreditation, you will have experience of working in a relevant setting. You must be available to work between two and six sessions per week (flexible).
