Job title: Substance Misuse Practitioner in General Practice
Based: Lonsdale Medical Centre (Brent teaching PCT)
Salary:Full-time position (£25,005 - £29,990 + Outer London Weighting)

This is an exciting opportunity to help develop the established work in this area at Lonsdale Medical Centre, an inner-city medical practice in Brent serving about 15,000 patients.

An innovative and experienced practitioner is required to develop the provision of care and treatment to approximately 120 people with substance misuse problems as well as providing brief interventions to many other registered patients who present with substance misuse problems.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive patient centred care packages to this patient group. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and skills in the assessment, treatment and on-going care of people with substance misuse problems, be able to provide brief interventions, be familiar with current issues/trends regarding the management of substance misusers and demonstrate a commitment to harm reduction and patient centred care.
