Salary: Secondment/match current salary
Contract: 12 months fixed term contract

The National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse (NTA) is a special health authority created in 2001 with a remit to increase the availability, capacity and effectiveness of drug treatment in England.

We are seeking experienced clinicians to play a key role in our new Skills and Practice Development Team, providing clinical expertise for the organisation. We are seeking individuals with extensive and highly respected clinical experience in drug treatment, with the ability to take a strategic, national perspective and role.

The role

The role will include providing clinical advice to the NTA and key stakeholders; contributing to improving the skills and clinical practice of the national clinical workforce; and representing the NTA.

Flexibility

A total of up to six sessions (1-3 days) a week is available for suitably qualified candidates but the NTA wishes to be flexible in ensuring that the best balance of professional representation, expertise and experience is available. One day a week in London and some flexibility to attend essential meetings will be minimum requirements.

The post holder(s) will be based at the NTA's head office in South London but extensive travel is expected. The post(s) is/are offered as secondment and so will match current salary pro rata.
