Salary: £61,538-£82,423 pro rata (dependent on experience)
Hours: Up to 4 sessions (16hrs) per week
Normal Hours: Monday to Friday

Boswyns is a 16 bed residential unit situated in the unspoilt countryside of West Cornwall near Hayle. It provides detoxification and stabilisation to drug and alcohol users from Cornwall and further afield.

Addaction are seeking an enthusiastic doctor to join our team in Cornwall. The post is suitable for a GP with interest in substance misuse or doctor with experience of general/addiction psychiatry. Previous experience of specialist drugs or alcohol work is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided, and the role is supported with clinical supervision by the Medical Lead for Cornwall.

Responsibilities include medical assessments for assisted withdrawal, and support for the safe and effective medical management of people with drug and alcohol problems. Whilst the job is currently spread across four afternoons a week (Monday to Thursday), there will be an option to adjust the hours to suit availability and commitments.
